Senior Landscape Foreperson

We are currently seeking a Senior Landscape Foreperson to head our small, but growing, construction team. Ideally, this person will share our love of the outdoors, team leadership, and quality workmanship, possessing a strong desire to make a difference. Our construction crews work on a variety of residential and commercial projects throughout the year. We do not do any turf maintenance but choose to focus our work on creating and installing breathtaking outdoor living spaces for our clients to enjoy. Responsibilities Include:

  • Direct, supervise, and work with field crew to complete residential and commercial hardscape and softscape projects including natural stone, permeable pavers, retaining walls, lawns, outdoor kitchens, outdoor fireplaces.
  • Obtain plans and drawings from design team and perform site layout, and project phasing, and execute project with assistance from project staff and field crew.
  • Operate skid steers, compact excavators, tractors, 3 pt   chainsaws, power tools, and other specialized equipment.
  • Maintain high standard of quality and safety amongst crews and equipment, enforce OSHA & safety policies.


  • Minimum of 7 years experience, 10 years preferred, as a landscape foreman managing and conducting residential and commercial hardscape and softscape projects.
  • Minimum of 7 years experience, 10 years preferred, operating equipment including skid steers, compact excavators, tractors, chain saws, etc.
  • Strong leadership skills with all the crews and ability to communicate effectively with management and clients to meet project deadlines.
  • Must be a self-starting, take-charge individual with strong motivation and interpersonal skills.  Must be able to runs projects efficiently and independently
  • Ability to read, understand, and communicate landscape plan drawings and specification documents.
  • Current and clean Wisconsin Driver’s License along with, or ability to obtain, Class A CDL

Landscape Foreman

Outdoor Living and Landscapes is actively seeking a Landscape Foreman to lead and work with crew members while successfully installing residential and commercial jobs.  Experience in all aspects of landscaping is beneficial.  Knowledge of installing hardscape (patios, retaining walls, fireplaces, etc.) is required.  

Job Type: Full-time 

Duties and responsibilities: 

  • Directs and organizes crew members to assure quality and timely completion of landscape construction project. 
  • Communicates and provides professional customer service to clients or site contacts when job supervisor is not available. 
  • Ensures team and site safety by complying with safety regulations and procedures . 
  • Completes daily timesheets and ensures accuracy of hours on time card for payroll. 
  • Leads by example by fostering a positive work environment, adhering to company policies, including dress code, conduct and attendance. 
  • Operate equipment such as saws, compactors, skid steers and dump trucks. 
  • Use hand tools such as wheel barrows, rakes, shovels, etc. 


  • 2 -3 years of landscape installation experience is required.  
  • Previous hardscape foreman experience is preferred.  
  • Experience operating heavy equipment and masonry saws required. 

License: Driver’s License (Required)

Landscape Technician

Who doesn’t want to work outside all day!!! Outdoor Living and Landscapes, an award winning Appleton based landscape company, is in search of a landscape technician. Experience in all aspects of landscaping is beneficial including plantings, lawns, patios, outdoor living spaces, retaining walls, etc. Although experience is nice, we’re more than willing to train any individual willing to LEARN and WORK HARD. The ability to operate equipment such as saws, compactors, skid steers, dump trucks, etc is a plus but again, not necessary, just be willing to LEARN.
