Landscape Foreperson

Outdoor Living and Landscapes is seeking a Landscape Foreman to lead and work with crew members while successfully installing residential and commercial jobs. This position combines hands-on expertise in hardscape and softscape installation with crew supervision, ensuring projects are completed safely, efficiently, on time, and to the highest standards.

Job Type: Full-time

Responsibilities:

-Supervise and lead landscape installation crews on daily job sites, assigning tasks, monitoring progress, motivating the team, and   maintaining high productivity.
-Oversee the complete installation of hardscapes (paver patios, retaining walls, steps, sitting walls, outdoor kitchens) and softscapes       (plantings, mulching, soil preparation, turf installation).
-Read, interpret, and implement landscape plans and specifications accurately to ensure precise execution and resolve on-site challenges.
-Operate and direct the safe use of heavy equipment including skid steers, tractors, trucks, and small tools such as saws, leaf blowers,   rototillers, compactors, and other machinery.
-Perform hands-on work as required, including planting trees, shrubs, and perennials; carrying/placing heavy materials (bricks, pavers,   stones); raking/preparing lawns; and site cleanup.
-Enforce strict safety protocols, identify potential hazards, ensure crew compliance with regulations, and promote a safe working   environment at all times.
-Train, mentor, and develop crew members on best practices, equipment operation, plant care, installation techniques, and quality   standards to build team skills.
- Manage job site logistics, including material organization, equipment readiness, daily progress tracking, material usage, and reporting to   project managers or owners.
-Conduct quality inspections, perform final walk-throughs, ensure complete site cleanup, and sign off on daily work to meet or exceed   expectations.
-Handle administrative tasks such as timesheets and material tracking.
-Maintain tools and equipment through routine checks and basic upkeep, reporting issues promptly.

Qualifications and Requirements:

-Minimum 4-6 years of progressive experience in landscape installation (hardscape and softscape), with at least 2-3 years in a supervisory,   lead, or foreman role.
-Demonstrated leadership ability to manage, motivate, and direct crews effectively while fostering a positive, team-oriented atmosphere.
-Valid driver's license with a clean record; CDL or proven experience operating heavy equipment (skid steers, tractors, trucks with trailers).
-In-depth knowledge of hardscape installations and plant materials.
-Proficiency in reading and executing landscape plans and construction details.
-Strong organizational, problem-solving, communication, and time-management skills.
-Reliable, punctual, detail-oriented, and dedicated to delivering top-tier craftsmanship and client-focused results.

Landscape Technician

Outdoor Living and Landscapes is seeking a dependable and hardworking Landscape Crew Member to assist in the installation of residential and commercial landscaping projects. This hands-on role supports the foreman and team in delivering high-quality hardscape and softscape work safely, efficiently, and to the highest standards.

Responsibilities

-Assist the foreman and crew in the daily installation of hardscapes (paver patios, retaining walls, steps, sitting walls, outdoor kitchens) and softscapes (plantings, mulching, soil preparation, turf installation).
-Perform hands-on physical tasks including planting trees, shrubs, and perennials; carrying and placing heavy materials (bricks, pavers, stones); raking and preparing lawns; and completing thorough site cleanup.
-Safely operate small tools and equipment such as saws, leaf blowers, rototillers, compactors, and other machinery as directed by the foreman.
-Follow all safety protocols, identify and report potential hazards, and maintain a safe working environment at all times.
-Support job site logistics including material handling, organization, and keeping the site clean and orderly throughout the workday.
-Work collaboratively with crew members and the foreman to meet daily project goals and maintain a positive, team-oriented atmosphere.
-Learn and apply best practices in plant care, installation techniques, and quality standards with guidance from the foreman.
-Assist with routine maintenance and care of tools and equipment, reporting any issues to the foreman promptly.

Qualifications and requirements

-Prior experience in landscape installation (hardscape and/or softscape) is preferred but not required — a willingness to learn and work hard is a must.
-Ability to perform physically demanding outdoor work in varying weather conditions, including lifting and carrying heavy materials.
-Valid driver's license preferred.
-Reliable, punctual, and detail-oriented with a commitment to quality workmanship and client satisfaction.
-Positive attitude, strong work ethic, and ability to take direction well while contributing to a cohesive team environment.
